Press Release
Alex A., author and illustrator, discovered his love for creating cartoon characters at the age of eight–and has been at it ever since.
His first graphic novel was published in 2011, “L’Agent Jean!”
The series now includes more than 10 books, and is adored by young readers in both Quebec and Ontario.
His books have sold more than 800,000 copies in Quebec alone.
Alex A. has done more than 500 school presentations in the last six years, sharing his passion with thousands of children across Canada, encouraging them to create characters and stories.
He’ll tell you his main source of inspiration is “all that exists, but especially all that doesn’t exist and lives in my imagination.”
Alex A. lives in Montreal with his dog “Ours,” and always shows up for book-signings wearing his distinctive wool hat and colourful plaid pants, ready to entertain his young readers.
On tour as part of the TD Canadian Children’s Book Week 2018, Alex A. will be stopping at the Fort Frances Public Library on Monday, May 7 at 5:30 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to join us to meet him and hear all about his adventures.
Pizza and beverages will be provided by the “Friends of the Library.”
