Press Release
Lisa Strom, a life-long resident of Fort Frances, recently was honoured by the local branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 15 years of dedicated service in its family history centre.
Strom’s enthusiasm for researching her own genealogy first brought her to the centre in 1993.
For more than 15 years, she has continued her own research while volunteering to help countless others find their “roots.”
For many years, with her little daughters, Erica and Bailey, in tow—Strom served in the family history centre twice a week, helping sponsor events to advertise the centre and encouraging others to use the vast genealogical resources of the church.
Strom continues to serve every Tuesday from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Fort Frances chapel (815 Keating Ave.)
She gladly will assist anyone interested in learning more about their ancestry.
