Everyone in the community is warmly welcomed to come out and enjoy the 21st-annual community Christmas dinner being held on Thursday at Knox United Church from noon-2 p.m.
“Come down and have a festive time, and everyone is welcome to attend,” said Debbie Bazylewski of the Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau.
Santa will be dropping by for the afternoon, so there will be a chance for photos with him for all the children (young and old) before he heads back to the North Pole.
There also will be a performance by Diane Maxey’s choir, who will spread even more holiday cheer with Christmas music, said Bazylewski. There possibly could be some group Christmas caroling, as well.
Anyone and everyone is invited to attend, and there is no cost for the meal. But there will be a jar at the entrance for any donations, noted Bazylewski.
“A big thank-you goes out to all the businesses and organizations and individuals of the community who have come forward to support us,” she added. “I’d like to thank the committee and volunteers of the community, and Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau, for their support and help through this.
“A lot of this wouldn’t be possible without caring people like the people in Fort Frances,” Bazylewski stressed. “They’ve just pulled through wonderfully for us this year.”
