Around 5:20 a.m. yesterday, Rainy River District OPP officers responded to the report of a robbery at a residence on the 1000 block of Crowe Avenue here.
An investigation revealed a male had entered the residence and assaulted the lone female occupant.
The female was taken to hospital and later released.
A 28-year-old Fort Frances man was charged with robbery and uttering threats.
He remained in custody pending a bail hearing today.
Local OPP officers are continuing to investigate with the assistance of the Fort Frances OPP Crime Unit, OPP North West Region Forensic Identification Unit, and the OPP North West Region Canine Unit.
