Unifor Local 324 members at Acadia Broadcasting’s CFOB (“The Border”) radio station in Fort Frances voted 80 percent in favour of ratifying a new four-year collective agreement yesterday.
“Unifor members at Acadia Broadcasting were very pleased with the monetary gains and key language improvements achieved in this new contract,” said Unifor national representative Stephen Boon.
“The current agreement expires [Jan. 31] and these members will now seamlessly transition into their new contract,” he noted.
The new collective agreement includes 1.75 percent, 1.75 percent, 2.25 percent, and 2.25 percent annual wage increases.
It also includes two new paid emergency leave days, increased employer pension contributions, expanded benefit coverage, increased meal allowances, and strengthened contract language.
