Life at Rainycrest Long-Term Care here just got a little more comfortable thanks to a donation of furniture from the Retired Teachers of Ontario (RTO/ERO).
The RTO has donated 17 pieces of outdoor ceder furniture—a combination of tables, benches, and chairs—that will be set up for residents in the facility’s western courtyards.
The donation comes as part of the RTO’s disbursement of $100,000 in funding towards sponsoring community projects across the province through “Project—Service to Others.”
RTO District 1, which represents members from Rainy River to Atikokan, applied for a grant and received the maximum amount of $4,000, which was put towards purchasing the furniture for Rainycrest.
The furnishings were “made to order” by Turtle Wood Enterprises, based in Atikokan.
