Northwest Catholic District School Board trustees will be sworn in at the inaugural meeting for the 2014-18 term tomorrow in Dryden.
The meeting will get underway at 9 a.m., with the regular meeting to follow at 9:30.
The trustees representing Fort Frances include Anne-Marie Fitzgerald, who was re-elected in the Oct. 27 municipal election, and newcomer Robert (Bob) Grynol.
The Stratton rep is David Sharp, a former board employee who was acclaimed.
Having been acclaimed in Atikokan, Teresa Larson will return to the board, along with Sioux Lookout reps Cathy Bowen and Jim Kulchyski, who both also were acclaimed.
Representing Dryden are Kathy Bryck, who was re-elected, and Al Cesiunas, a former superintendent of education for the board, who will make his debut as a trustee.
As well, a chair and vice-chair will be elected at tomorrow’s meeting.
Also tomorrow, the board will:
•present a Recognition of Excellence to St. Joseph’s School for the exemplary dedication and commitment of several staff members;
•hear a presentation about the Board Improvement Plan for Student Achievement (BIPSA);
•look to approve its 2015 committee structure and membership, as determined at its regular meeting held Dec. 6;
•look to affirm Maurice Fillion as a volunteer community member to serve on its audit committee; and
•hear a number of reports from board committees and staff.
An in-camera (behind closed doors) session will follow the public portion of the meeting.
