The Northwest Catholic District School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting via videoconference tonight at 6:30 at its office adjacent to St. Francis School here.
On the agenda is the approval to appoint Danielle Flynn and Wes Derksen to the Special Education Advisory Committee.
The board’s 2007-08 audited financial statements and management letter also will be presented for approval tonight.
The annual audit, conducted by BDO Dunwoody LLP, already was submitted to the Ministry of Education last month.
As well, the board will be presented with a report on further recognizing staff for their hard work and service.
This report stems from the board’s October meeting, at which time Director of Education Mary-Catherine Kelly proposed the creation of an annual celebration to bring staff throughout the board together to recognize their service.
Following the recommendation of the board at that meeting, this new report outlines possible options, ranging from a board-wide event at one location to staff being acknowledged through written letters presented at individual schools in the spring.
A recognition of excellence also will be presented to St. Joseph’s School in Dryden tonight.
