Canadian pairs swept Thursday night’s play in the annual Ice Box Days bridge tournament at the Holiday Inn in International Falls.
Gladys Martin and Jane Sus teamed up for first place, with second place being a tie between Faye Gasparini/Lois Fawcett and Tatjana/Henry Kemper.
Gasparini and Fawcett returned Friday night to take first-place honours while second place went to the Fort Frances pair of Keith McRae and Bob Barron.
Third place was a tie between the Kempers and Kathy and Ralph Awe of the Falls.
When the scores from the two nights were added up, Gasparini and Fawcett had the top total, followed by the Kempers and the team of Martin/Sus.
Eight tables of players competed for the $75 in prize money, provided by the Thunderbird Lodge, State Farm Insurance, and the Falls Chamber of Commerce.
