The cast and crew of “Camelot” have come a long way since rehearsals began in January.
But there’s also no denying that as everything comes together, a lot of hard work still needs to be done to make next week’s 16th-annual musical production at Fort High a success.
With the show being staged right after March Break (and no rehearsals planned for this week), students must work hard on their own so everything will be ready when dress rehearsals begin.
Dress rehearsals require the addition of costumes, props, scenery, lights, and microphones, which haven’t been used yet.
The orchestra, which has been rehearsing separately for more than a month, also will now be added to the actors and actresses on stage.
“The hard work must continue until the very end of the show,” said director Val Martindale, referring to the finishing touches which will be added soon.
“The students always come through and give their absolute best,” she added, noting this year shouldn’t be any different.
So come and join King Arthur, Queen Guenevere, Lancelot, and the court of Camelot on March 25-27 beginning at 8 p.m. at J.A Mathieu Auditorium.
Don’t miss it!
