The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce once again will recognize the achievement of local businesses, and the contributions they make to the economic growth and prosperity of Rainy River District, at the 14th-annual Bell Business Awards coming up Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Adventure Inn here.
But it is up to the public to nominate who they feel is deserving.
Starting Wednesday (Dec. 16), nomination forms will be available at the Chamber office (474 Scott St.) as well as at www.fortfranceschamber.com
Nominations will be accepted in 11 different categories, including:
•Business of the Year—1-15 Employees (sponsored by B•93 FM);
•Business of the Year—16+ Employees (Bell);
•Entrepreneur of the Year (Rainy River Future Development Corp.);
•Small Business Trainer of the Year (NCDS Career Works);
•Safety Award-Business or Individual (Ainsworth);
•Accessibility Award (Town of Fort Frances);
•Customer Service-Business Award (TD Canada Trust);
•Customer Service-Individual Award (Good Impressions Printing);
•Employee of the Year (The Westend Weekly);
•Business Woman of the Year (Business Woman’s Network); and
•Tony Beyak Memorial Volunteer of the Year Award (Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce).
The deadline for nominations is Jan. 15.
Businesses do not have to belong to the Chamber to be eligible to win.
Although this is the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce’s awards gala, all district businesses are eligible for nomination.
In fact, many businesses from Emo, Rainy River, and other communities have won awards in past years.
