Don’t blame your paper carrier.
Due to serious problems with a piece of equipment (specifically, an image setter) at the Fort Frances Times yesterday, the printing—and subsequent delivery—of yesterday’s Daily Bulletin was delayed by several hours.
Since flyers also have to be inserted into the Monday Bulletin before it is ready to be delivered, Times’ carriers could not pick their newspapers until 4 p.m. at the earliest (normally, the paper is ready by 2-2:30 p.m. and delivered to drop sites by 3-3:30 p.m.)
This resulted in local residents not getting their paper until far later than usual—in some cases, not until 7 or 8 p.m.
The Times apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused its customers and carriers.
Fortunately, the image setter eventually was repaired and so the production, and delivery, of newspapers should be back to its regular schedule starting today.
