The Ridlon brothers have their tire tracks all over the standings of the mini-sprints division of the Borderland Racing Association.
After going two-three in the feature race two weeks ago, Kyle and Steve traded one-two finishes in the heat and feature races this past Saturday at the Emo Speedway.
Steve won the heat while Kyle took the checkered flag in the feature.
The duo from Aurora, Mn. lead the early points race, with Kyle sitting at 106 and Steve right behind with 102.
Ken Perry and his son, Kenny Jr., sit in third- and fourth-place, respectively.
Meanwhile, Steve Arpin remained perfect in the modified feature race two weeks into the racing season. The 18-year-old captured both his heat and the final Saturday night, and leads the overall points standings with 111.
Dwayne Pelepetz won the first heat.
Also Saturday, Chris Shine edged defending champ Jake Hassbargen in the streets feature. Dan Rea won the first feature while Ron Westover took the checkered flag in the second one.
In related news, the go-karters are off and running at the Emo Speedway. They held a fun day May 25 and started their races last Saturday afternoon.
They also held two “Dash for Cash” races during intermission of the stock car action that night. Joey Galloway (open class) and Jordan Davis (gas) were the winners.
