Press Release
Whether it’s helping out the Fort Frances Lakers or the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Haitian earthquake relief, Boston Pizza has a few different charity events happening in the next couple of weeks.
Tonight (Jan. 27) is Lakers Celebrity Night at BP until 8 p.m., when your favourite players will lend a hand serving customers.
Then this Saturday, the Lakers will be selling “hearts” there from noon until 6 p.m.
Guests can buy these hearts anytime up until Feb. 14 for $1 and write a Valentine message to someone special.
The hearts will remain on display at BP.
Money raised will go to the Boston Pizza Foundation in support of its many charities, including the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and Haitian relief efforts.
And for something special on Valetine’s Day, customers can go to the local Boston Pizza in Fort Frances on Sunday, Feb. 14 and help support its 2010 Valentine’s Day charity fundraiser by buying a delicious heart-shaped pizza.
Heart-shaped pizzas only are available once a year on Valentine’s Day, with $1 from each sale going to the Boston Pizza Foundation.
Boston Pizza’s goal this year is to raise up to $600,000 across Canada for charity.
The local goal is $10,000, and franchisees Dale Fortes and Elizabeth Leishman-Fortes are hoping for the public’s support for this year’s promotion.
