A benefit supper to assist the family of local snowmobile racer Curtis Boivin, who remains in a medically-induced coma in hospital following a horrific accident on Dec. 4, is set for tonight.
The roast beef supper will take place from 5-7 p.m. at the Couchiching multi-use facility.
Tickets for the dinner, which cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under, are available at the door.
There also will be a penny table, as well as a raffle for a quilt donated by the Rousseau family, to help with the fundraising.
There is some positive news regarding the condition of Boivin, who was injured on the season-opening weekend of the Canadian Power Toboggan Championship in Beausejour, Man.
Pressure in his brain from the head injuries he sustained has subsided over recent days.
But he remains in a coma as doctors work to determine the full extent of his injuries.
