Residents who expected to see their “blue boxes” picked up yesterday and today may still be seeing them sitting at the curb as two of the Northwest Ontario Recycle Association’s trucks have broken down again.
“They’re being repaired as we speak,” Cindy Buttner of Buttner Enterprises said late this morning.
“We were straggling along with one truck last week and managed to pick up some of the recycling Monday morning,” she added. “We should be back out there later today.”
Buttner advised residents to leave their “blue boxes” out as the trucks may drive by in the evening or tonight. While losing a day of service is obviously tough to make up, Buttner said they’ll try.
“Hopefully, the weather co-operates and it doesn’t get too windy or wet out there,” she remarked.
