The Fort Frances Power Corp. restored power to street lights from Central Avenue to Crowe Avenue this morning after a fuse blew twice last night, causing an outage.
FFPC CEO Joerg Ruppenstein said an insulator wire had come undone, and was grounding out, which caused a fuse to blow.
He noted the fuse blew once yesterday evening, after which a crew was dispatched and restored the power.
But the fuse blew again overnight.
The crew finally determined the root cause of the problem this morning and resolved it for good.
