District residents did their part and gave the “gift of life”—donating even more blood than hoped for during Canadian Blood Services’ two-day spring donor clinic here Wednesday and Thursday.
CBS spokesperson Harvey Heather said this morning a total of 367 donors came out to Fort Frances High School, donating a total of 306 units of blood over the two days.
This was five more units than its goal of 301 units.
Heather noted 306 units potentially could help 918 patients in Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba.
The fall blood donor is slated for Sept. 9-10.
