The Canadian Blood Services two-day fall blood donor clinic wrapped up yesterday evening, drawing a total of 350 donors and 298 units of blood.
CBS spokesperson Harvey Heather said this morning that 221 donors gave 195 units of blood yesterday. On Wednesday, district residents donated 129 donors giving 103 units.
While this still fell a little short of the two-day clinic goal of 305 units, Heather noted “it was a really good two days,” and on behalf of the CBS thanked district residents for once again stepping forward to give the “gift of life.”
Last fall, 395 donors came out here, donating a total of 335 units of blood over the two days.
This was 39 units more than its goal for that clinic.
The CBS’ next blood clinic is slated for April 21-22.
