Rainy River District Best Start for Children “Summer Celebration” is taking place at Confederation College-Fort Frances on Wednesday (Aug. 22).
District Early Childhood Educators, JK/SK teachers, and childcare workers will have the opportunity to come together to celebrate their roles in children’s lives and development.
The goals of this event is to work toward ease of transition for children from the preschool to school environments, determine how to best prepare children for life long learning and bring the most important professions together to develop strong linkages so that children get the “Best Start” possible in the Rainy River District.
Guest speaker, Fidelia Torres from the very successful Toronto’s First Duty will present “Early Learning and Care for Every Child”, and Ministry of Children and Youth Services’ Sandra Russell will present “What is happening in Best Start now?”
The day will be rounded out with discussion groups, networking, prizes, giveaways, and great food.
The Rainy River District Best Start Network recognizes the huge contribution that early childhood educators, child care workers and kindergarten teachers make in the lives of our youngest citizens and want to commend their efforts by celebrating their work and asking for their help in determining what’s BEST for our children.
