Benefit planned

Press Release

Since the age of five, Blair Jack has faced many life-threatening situations with courage and determination.
He came in contact with blastomycosis, which damaged his kidneys and lungs, and his life has not been the same since.
Over the years, Jack, now 30, has been in the hospital many, many times—and many times doctors gave him a limited time to live.
His parents, Kathi Jack/Doug Sinclair and Brian Tuesday, together with his brothers, Kevin and Chris, continue to support Jack and want to spend as much time as they can at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital.
A benefit is being held this Friday (Oct. 23) from 8 p.m.-midnight at the Onigaming gymnasium to assist with the extraordinary expenses that have accumulated—and continue to accumulate.
There will be 50-50 draws, penny tables for both children and adults, and door prizes.
Organizers Janet Bruyere, Judy Morrison, Maria Big George, and Salena Bob-Kelly have been working diligently on this benefit and are hoping to receive donations for this young man and his family.
All donations will be deposited into an account at the Royal Bank and will be presented to the family at the benefit.
The account will remain open for a one-month period to allow other donations that may be forthcoming.
Posters are being distributed throughout the district.
Jack and his mom, Kathi, travelled to Ottawa for an operation scheduled to be performed yesterday.
We want to help the family as much as we can, and we wish the best for Jack’s family, relatives, and friends.
