The Warehouse One “Jean Trade-In for Charity” continues there until next Sunday (Feb. 28).
During this time, customers are encouraged to donate a pair of jeans and receive $10 off on a new pair.
All 110 stores across Canada, including the one here in Fort Frances, are accepting jeans from “Denim Donors.”
The jeans are donated to local women’s shelters across Canada as women often flee their abusive relationships with only the clothes on their back.
The jeans are a needed and appreciated item by the shelters.
For the past several years, Warehouse One has donated clothing for women and children in shelters within the communities we operate.
We believe in helping those in difficult situations.
2009 was the fifth year for this charity event and to date, more than 36,000 pairs of jeans have been donated across Canada.
In this sixth-annual event, we hope to raise more than 16,000 pairs of jeans!
