Bail or Jail? You be the judge, and local food banks will benefit.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday February 12 and Saturday, February 13, Walmart will be raising bail money to fight hunger, though the store’s Fight Hunger Spark Change campaign.
The fundraiser is a significant fundraiser for the Salvation Army. Contributions made at the till, by adding to or rounding up your receipt, until March 18, will ensure shelves are stocked with nutritious food and ready for those in need through the cold winter months.
Last year’s campaign was the largest ever, ensuring shelves at the Salvation Army food bank were stocked, said Arthur Heathcote of the Salvation Army.
Customers can make a cash donation at the check-out stands or purchase prepacked food bags available at the store.
