The Fine Line Art Gallery here is reminding local artists they have until the end of April to get their entries in for the spring art exhibit.
Following the theme “Hats,” the show tentatively is set to open on Thursday, May 3, Fine Line co-op member Jean Richards said last week.
She added there is a $10 entry fee, which allows the artist to enter two pieces in the show.
These pieces can be for sale, and in fact, most artist do end up selling their work made for each spring show.
Just as in previous shows, entries can be created in any medium, whether it’s paint, sculpture, stained glass, or whatever the artist can imagine—as long as it fits the hat theme.
Richards is confident the theme will be a hit and draw a good number of entries.
“There’s a lot of interest in the hats,” she noted.
Richards said she already knows what a few other artists are making for the show.
“But I don’t know what I am doing yet,” she chuckled.
As in past years, the exhibit will kick off with an open house although Richards is keeping mum on the details for now.
“It’s a secret,” she smiled.
