Arpin testing new car at Salem

Fort Frances native Steve Arpin and his Eddie Sharp Racing team are hitting the track at Salem Speedway in Salem, Ind. today to test their cars in preparation for the next race in the ARCA season on April 5.
Salem features a challenging .555-mile oval and the 25-year-old will be putting his new No. 20 Jeff Taylor Motorsports Toyota to the test.
“I am looking forward to the short tracks most this season, so the Salem Speedway is an awesome place to start,” Arpin enthused.
“Short-track racing is where I began my career, and I am excited about applying my dirt-track racing knowledge to that of short tracks.
“The whole team has been working really hard to prepare a good car for me and I cannot wait to work with my other three teammates [Craig Goess Jr., Tim George Jr., and Justin Lofton] this week and the season to come,” he added.
Arpin kicked off his inaugural season on the ARCA circuit with a 25th-place finish at the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 back on Feb. 7 at the Daytona International Speedway.
