Residents of Fort Frances will have the unique opportunity to meet with each other—and develop new friendships—when Fort Floral hosts the 18th-annual FTD Good Neighbour Day event next Wednesday (Sept. 5).
Beginning at 8 a.m., Fort Floral will give away 3,000 flowers in bunches of a dozen absolutely free to anyone who visits the shop (while supplies last).
There is one catch, however.
Owner Brad Hogan asks that anyone who picks up a dozen free flowers keep one for themselves and give the others away to 11 different people—spreading goodwill and friendship in the community.
“We hope that the people of Fort Frances will be able to get acquainted with new people or will renew an old friendship during FTD Good Neighbour Day,” he reasoned.
“We hope to help create a friendlier, more caring and compassionate world starting right here in Fort Frances,” Hogan added.
FTD Good Neighbour Day is being celebrated for the 18th year throughout the U.S. and Canada at participating FTD floral shops as a day of celebrating goodwill towards all people.
It’s expected that hundreds of FTD florists will participate this year, giving away millions of free flowers.
