Those who were waiting to get tickets to share an “An Evening with Billy Andrusco” are out of luck as the concert sold out as of late Friday afternoon.
“It’s good news,” said concert organizer Bill Gushulak. “We’re very pleased, very excited, and we’re looking forward now to putting the final touches on what has to be done.”
Given the fact Andrusco is well-known in the community, and has never performed solo here before, Gushulak noted he’d always felt the concert would sell-out ever since it was first announced back in December.
“Initially I had thought it would happen even sooner,” he admitted. “We never really had chance to push it as much during the month of January, but it worked out well.
“Now we just have to count down the hours to the big show.”
“An Evening with Billy Andrusco”—a fundraiser for the Fort Frances Curling Club—is slated for next Tuesday (March 7) at 7:30 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre.
Andrusco is expected not only to sing songs and play his piano and accordion, but share anecdotes of his life as a musician.
Andrusco also has made time in his schedule the day before the concert (March 6) to visit the Townshend Theatre with local piano-playing youth to answer their questions and tell them what it’s like to play music for a profession.
