Riverside Foundation for Health Care is excited to announce that the winner of the January Riverside 50/50 electronic raffle is Amanda Lalonde of Emo, ON with the winning ticket number O-5775889. Lalonde takes home $17,870, with the same amount going to the Foundation. The draw was made Monday, January 31 at 11:00am in the Foundation Office.
Lalonde, who was in shock throughout the notification phone call, said that she’s been supporting the lottery for about six months now. Formerly from Alberta, Lalonde recently moved to Emo with her husband, who is originally from the district. Her winnings are a nice welcome to the community. Lalonde said that although she doesn’t have any immediate plans for her winnings, she may put them towards a new vehicle. She plans to continue to support the lottery with future ticket purchases.
This jackpot marked the second draw in the Foundation’s current monthly series of raffles. All proceeds from the monthly 50/50 raffles help support health care close to home with funds being used to purchase much needed medical equipment for Riverside Health Care Facilities. Tickets for the February raffle are available now at www.riverside5050.ca at a cost of 20 for $10, 100 for $20 or our best deal, 250 for $40. A $500 early bird draw sponsored by West End Motors and Gillons’ Insurance will take place Wednesday, February 16th at 11:00am. Ticket sales for the jackpot close Sunday, February 27th at 9:00pm with the draw taking place Monday, February 28th at 11:00 am.
