The Alcoholics Anonymous meeting schedule has changed for Fort Frances. There are currently only two meetings, being offered at Knox United Church. Tuesday and Thursday night meetings have been discontinued. Meetings are now scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings, starting at 8 p.m., downstairs in McMillan Hall. Covid protocols are in place for both meetings.
Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem, according to the Alcoholics Anonymous website. The program follows a 12-step process.
