I have been an active resident in Fort Frances for 37 years, continuing to involve myself in many different roles throughout the community and district.
Being married for 36 years to Allyson, I am a stoic member of my family, providing my children and grandchildren a positive and motivational role model.
I am dedicated to ensure the people of Fort Frances have a valuable asset working for the betterment of the community as a whole.
I am a strong advocate for keeping the public informed in community decisions, and do not shy away from asking questions nor speaking my mind when I feel strongly about something.
I am interested in maintaining and improving the growth of our community, be it business, social, or educational.
As well as being a current town councillor, my community involvement includes several significant past and present executive positions: current chairman of the board of health for the Northwestern Health Unit (member 18 years), a director of the Rainy River Valley Safety Coalition, member of parent councils at F.H. Huffman and Robert Moore Schools (eight years), town councillor for six years (1985-91), a lifetime Canada Jaycee Senator, an assistant director of the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship, former president of the Chamber of Commerce (1985), and past director of the “Fun in the Sun” committee.
