Family & Children’s Services is proud to announce the launch of its ninth-annual “Adopt-an-Angel” program in Rainy River District.
This program, which runs until Dec. 16, was developed with the intention of helping children and families involved with the programs offered at Family & Children’s Services who could use extra support at Christmas.
The “angels” will be placed on Christmas trees at The Bargain Store and Wal-Mart in Fort Frances, as well as at Tompkins Hardware in Emo.
The idea is that residents can select the angels from the trees and purchase Christmas gifts for the children.
Last year, the community provided gifts to 165 children.
Thank you to those who help and support this program, and to those who purchase gifts. You help make Christmas a little bit merrier for the children we serve.
And when you see the management and staff at The Bargain Store, Wal-Mart, and Tompkins Hardware, please thank them for their continued dedication to the program and their assistance.
