The OPP has identified the victim of Sunday’s fatal motor-vehicle accident near Ignace as 32-year-old Blake Cheslock of Thunder Bay.
The collision involved a westbound 2006 Ford F350 pickup truck that travelled into the eastbound lane and collided with a 2007 Pontiac G6 on Highway 17 about 10 km east of Ignace.
Also injured in the Pontiac was Cheslock’s two-year-old daughter, who was flown to Winnipeg for treatment of injuries.
The 79-year-old driver of the pickup and a 17-year-old passenger, both from Hawkestone, Ont., were taken to Dryden Hospital.
An investigation is continuing.
