Tickets for the “Hockey Legends All-Stars” exhibition game, set for Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena, are on sale now at the Memorial Sports Centre.
Community Services manager Jason Kabel said only 200 were available as of this morning.
“Excitement is growing and ticket requests are swelling,” Kabel told the Times.
“I’d recommend anyone wanting to watch the NHL’ers in action against our local team to get your tickets A.S.A.P.”
Tickets cost $22 each, which are available at the arena, Causeway Insurance, and Kreger Sales and Service (Rainy River).
A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Fort Frances Girls’/Women’s Hockey Association and Fort Frances Minor Hockey Association.
The event will showcase such NHL legends as Rick Vaive, Mike Krushelnyski, Cliff Ronning, Jocelyn Lemieux, Dave McLlwain, Trevor Kidd, and Jyrki Lumme, with guest coach Marcel Dionne, facing off against local players.
The evening also will feature a $5,000 “shoot to win” contest sponsored by Causeway Insurance.
The game will be followed by a meet-and-greet kitchen party at 9 p.m. at the local Legion, with special guests Aaron Dawson and Kevin Pritchett.Tickets for that cost $25 each.
