This past week, I had the opportunity to have a visit from a former CNR employee, Al Hintz, who has since retired as a dispatcher. I had trained his son as an operator, and others, while stationed at Fort Frances.
A few years ago, CN Rail merged and centralized its Prairie operations to Edmonton, where Al and his son were transferred. Al later retired while his son received a promotion.
