Guthrie United’s ‘Spring Fling’ called a success

Guthrie United Church in Devlin held its “Spring Fling” on Sunday afternoon in the Devlin Hall, where more than 100 people enjoyed tea, coffee, and dessert while bidding on a live auction and a penny table.
There also was a bake table full of delicious pies, cookies, and muffins.
The live auction, conducted by volunteer Norbert Bragg, raised $675 while the penny table brought in another $350.
The afternoon event was deemed a success, with the money raised going to support the work of the church. Thanks to everyone who worked all afternoon, who donated such great items, and who supported this worthwhile event.
