Gun show called huge success

The first-annual Barwick Gun and Hobby Show, which took place Saturday, was a huge success, with more than 600 people turning out.
Organizer Scott Stafford already is planning for next year, with May 2 as the suggested date.
He would like to thank everyone who came out this year and hopes to see you next May.

A final reminder that Knox United Church, in Emo will be holding a Victorian Mother’s Day tea and bake sale this Friday (May 9) from 7-9 p.m. and again on Saturday (May 10) from 2-4 p.m.
You also can get your photo taken at the old-time portrait studio.
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children eight and up. Come and enjoy the fun—and get your picture taken!

The Muskie football team will be holding its annual spring camp on May 12-15 and May 20-23.
If you’ve never played football before, and are interested in suiting up for the team this fall, the camp is an excellent opportunity to try the sport out.
Watch for more information in the coming weeks. If you have any questions, talk to Coach Gouin at Fort Frances High School or call 274-7747.

The Northern Echo Bible Camp would like to thank everyone who attended its fundraising supper at the Christian Reformed Church in Emo back on April 25.
Despite a winter storm warning, a large crowd turned out for the event and raised $1,785 for this year’s camp.
Thanks, as well, to the Firths for all their hard work in preparing such an excellent supper.
