With the husband-and-wife combination of Thunder Bay’s Kory and Megan Carr at second and lead, respectively, Northern Ontario (1-0) sandwiched singles in the first and third around a steal of two in the second to jump out to a 4-0 lead.
Craig got one back in the fourth but Bonot replied with three in the fifth to make it 7-1.
Back-to-back deuces in the sixth and seventh ends drew B.C. (0-1) to within two—only to see Northern Ontario score three in the eighth to ice the victory.
Saskatchewan is tied with Northern Ontario atop Pool ‘B’ after topping Quebec 6-5.
Bonot played earlier today against Nunavut (score unavailable at press time), then will face Saskatchewan tomorrow afternoon.
