Players, coaches, family, and friends gathered together Monday night at the Memorial Sports Centre to celebrate another successful year of girls’ hockey in Fort Frances.
The banquet honoured players in a number of areas, with each team selecting a recipient for most improved player, most dedicated, most sportsmanlike, and most valuable.
The Novice division, which fields the youngest players in the association, also added a rookie-of-the-year category.
Coaches for the respective teams presented the awards, often citing the impressive play and behind-the-scenes leadership of many team members.
