Action at the Emo Speedway was great on Saturday as another night of racing ended with an exciting green-white-checkered in the WISSOTA Modifieds division.
The whole evening was intense with 10 Street Stocks, 16 Midwest Modifieds, and 11 Modifieds entered the facility.
In the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, Kendal Gamsby earned his first win of the season against a competitive field.
Throughout much of the race, the top five were switching positions every corner, with a lot of side-by-side action. But it was Gamsby who would hold off a late-charging Chuck Lambert for the win.
Lambert continues to lead the points standings in that class.
In the Street Stocks, Scott Messner continued his winning streak by taking home both the heat and feature wins.
He moved into second spot in the points race, with Tylar Wilson holding a short lead. Richard Visser sits in third.
And in the WISSOTA Modifieds, a returning Brad Loveday was fast in his heat to beat out Greg Ferris. But for the feature, it wasn’t meant to be for Loveday as Ferris found grip in places no one else could.
On the last lap, the caution flag came out and the field stacked up for the green, white, and checkered finish.
Everyone knew it was going to be a tight race for the lead, with Loveday right behind Ferris, but no one could catch him.
