The local Legion Ladies Auxiliary was the real winner at this year’s Grammys.
After calculating revenues and expenses for their inaugural “Pre-Grammy Awards Gala” held Feb. 11, the auxiliary told the Times it raised more than $12,000.
This surpassed its goal of $10,000.
The money will be used to buy new chairs for the Legion Hall, as well as help the auxiliary continue to support many local causes.
This includes helping veterans, sponsoring bursaries, and donating to local charities and clubs.
