The fire scene is relatively quiet, with no new fires reported in the Northwest Region yesterday.
The fire hazard remains “low” across the region except for the far north, where it is “moderate.”
Meanwhile, all three active fires in the region are listed as “under control.”
Kenora Fire #18 had an infrared scan of the blaze yesterday and no hot spots were found.
An infrared scan of Thunder Bay Fire #19 also showed no hot spots.
This quiet time is allowing FireRangers and staff to continue with mandatory training and skills updates.
