FFCBC to expand

Tom Fry, chairman of the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship, announced last week that the field for the 15th anniversary tournament in 2009 would be increased to 150 teams.
As well, the entry fee for 2009 will be $1,000 (Cdn.) per team.
The prize board, based on 150 teams, will be a total of $127,500, which represents an 85 percent payback.
As previously announced, the captain of every team competing in the 2008 Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship will be offered a spot in next year’s event.
The 2009 team number will be the same as the team’s 2008 final rank.
Returning team captains have until Sept. 30 to confirm their participation and make a minimum deposit of $250 to hold the spot.
The entry must be paid in full by April 30, 2009.
A draw to fill the balance of the field will be made in early October. Revised entry forms will be available soon both online and from Pam Buttner, director of angler registrations for the FFCBC.
“We are looking forward to receiving input from our angler advisory board and all tournament anglers regarding the format,” noted Fry.
