The top 50 finishers from the 2008 Emo Walleye Classic made their Nov. 15 deadline and are registered for next May’s tournament, but six more teams will have their names drawn for positions #50-#56 this Saturday (Dec. 6) during “Holly Daze” in Emo.
The draw will be held at 3 p.m. at Tompkins Hardware.
One other team didn’t get its money in on time, but has since paid and will be slotted in at position #57 for the 2009 tournament.
Colleen Vennechenko said the expectation is still to have 65 teams signed up prior to the event, up from 63 from a year ago.
She noted some teams will be added later once they have the funds in place to do so.
