Entries now being sought for ‘sweetheart’ contest

In conjunction with “Mall Days” next Thursday (June 28), the Xi Tau chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will be holding its “Little Sweetheart Photo Contest” to showcase cute local youngsters.
Entries still are open for the contest, with the first 16 to be accepted.
To enter the contest, parents of babies 24 months of age or younger as of June 1, 2018 must submit a printed copy of a photo (no larger than 4″x6″) of their child.
The photos must be submitted either to Curvy Chick (256 Scott St.) or Sun Life Financial (294 Scott St.) by this Monday (June 25).
Photos must be submitted in a sealed envelope, with all contact information for the parent/guardian printed neatly on the outside.
The name and birthdate of the child also should be included.
Only amateur photos will be accepted.
The baby’s name must not be anywhere on the photo, and the child’s face should be the only one in the photo.
The first 16 entries will be displayed at the “Welcome Home” Fort Frances Family Centre (272 Scott St.), where the public will be able to “vote” on their choice for the cutest “sweetheart.”
Each vote costs $1, with people able to vote as many times as they want (voting must be done in person with cash only).
Voting will close at 3 p.m. next Thursday and the baby with the most votes will be the winner.
The winner will be announced and prizes will be awarded on Wednesday, July 4.
Proceeds from the contest will be used for special family-focused projects in Rainy River District.
