Nick Wihnan
Dear Mr. Editor,
The world is in an economic meltdown, Canada’s economy is in the toilet, we’re in a war in Afghanistan, corporate thieves are bankrupting companies and pensions plans, our manufacturing base and forest sector lost hundreds of thousands of jobs, investors are being swindled out of stock investments, those who lost their jobs cannot get Employment Insurance, drugs and crime are rampant, energy costs are out of control, and deficit spending coupled with an ill-conceived harmony tax (grab) is making me real cranky.
Top this off with a call for another federal election (the fourth federal election in five years) at a cost to exceed another $300 million—on top of the $700 million dollars already spent on the federal elections in the last four years—means simply enough in enough.
To all of you prostituting politicians, regardless of what party you belong to, you were elected by the voters, now stop this nonsense and get to work.
If you insist you need this election, dip into your own private pockets and pay for it. I, along with thousands of others, have had enough.
Thank you,
Nick Wihnan
