Emo Youth Soccer will be accepting registrations next Monday (March 17) and Wednesday (March 19) from 6-7:30 p.m. upstairs in the Emo-La Vallee Arena.
Registration is open to boys and girls from kindergarten-Grade 8, and will cost $25 per player.
The season will start on April 29 this year (weather permitting). Games will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Emo sportsfield.
There are a limited number of positions on the various teams, so plan on registering on March 17 or 19. Late registration will cost $30.
The organization also is looking for volunteers to coach and referee. If you are interested in helping, or have any questions about the program, call Lori Shortreed at 482-1002.

A men’s breakfast will be held this Saturday (March 15) at the Emo Legion starting at 8 a.m. The cost of the buffet breakfast is $10.
The featured guest speaker will be Greg Wilson, a businessman from Dryden.

Although this is an early announcement, it is worth marking on your calendar. The “Rainy River District Spring Gathering” will take place Saturday, April 5 at the Chapple recreation centre.
Dinner will begin at 6 p.m., with the entertainment following at 8 p.m. Tickets are just $10 each.
This year’s entertainment is “Rhymin” Diamond, also known as Doug Keith, a well-known cowboy humourist.

A reminder that a Shamrock tea and bake sale, sponsored by the Emo & District Hospital Auxiliary, is scheduled for this Friday (March 14) from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Emo hospital cafeteria. Admission is $2.
There also will be a door prize.

There are only a few days left to get your tickets for the St. Patrick’s Day dinner, which is being held this Saturday (March 15) at the Emo Legion.
Co-sponsored by the Women’s Institute and the Friends of the Emo Library, the cost of the dinner is $15 for adults and $8 for children under 10.
Tickets are on sale at the Emo municipal office, the Emo Public Library, Tompkins Hardware, and Cloverleaf.
There also will be a silent auction and penny table. Entertainment for the evening will be supplied by the “Clover Valley Echoes.”
