Emo spray park to host ‘fun’ casino night

The Emo spray park committee is holding a “fun” casino night on Saturday, April 5 at the Emo arena.
Blackjack, roulette, and craps are just a few of the tables at which you can spend your “casino bucks.”
The evening will start with cocktails at 7 p.m., followed by the gaming and the live/silent auctions.
Music for dancing will be provided by Yowza, and a light lunch will be served at 11 p.m.
Tickets cost only $10 each, which are available at Northwoods Gallery & Gifts and the Times’ office in Fort Frances, as well as at Cloverleaf, Emo Drugs, and Tompkins Hardware here in Emo.
Profits from the evening will help the committee meet its goal of breaking ground for the proposed spray park this spring.
Please help support this worthwhile fundraiser or support the spray park by making a donation online at http://emospraypark.blogspot.com/

The annual Good Friday fish fry held at the Emo Legion was a tremendous success as more than 300 people were served, including 70 take-out meals.
A crew of young people, decked out in traditional black-and-white, helped serve meals, pour coffee, and clean tables.
The cooks and organizers should be congratulated on putting together such a fantastic meal. Thanks, too, to everyone who came out to support the Legion.
