Electoral reform discussion slated

Local MP Don Rusnak is inviting residents to participate in a town-hall discussion here Thursday (Sept. 1) as part of the national public consultation on federal electoral reform.
The discussion will take place from 2-3 p.m. at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre.
Federal electoral reform is part of the Government of Canada’s commitment to strengthen our democracy.
The government has committed that 2015 would be the last federal election under the current first-past-the-post electoral system.
By attending town halls and participating in online discussions, Canadians are invited to share their ideas on the future of our democracy.
