Election signs removed

The OPP would like to inform the public that tampering, vandalizing, or removing election signs could result in a criminal conviction if found guilty.
On Sept. 6, Manitouwadge OPP received a complaint regarding the unauthorized removal of election ads in that area.
On Aug. 24, 18 Green Party signs had been placed at locations throughout the community.
By Sept. 3, 12 of these signs had been removed.
Meanwhile, on Sept. 2, 12 Conservative lawn signs had been placed throughout the community and all of these were removed.
And on Sept. 3, three large Conservative signs were placed in the community.
By Sept. 5, they all had been removed.
Police are investigating this incident and ask anyone with information to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
