Drug raid nabs four

The Fort Frances OPP Crime Unit, OPP Drug Enforcement Section, and detachment officers executed a search warrant at 611 Armit Ave. here earlier this month, resulting in charges against four people.
The crime unit has been investigating allegations of drug trafficking occurring from this residence.
On Jan. 16, a warrant to search the residence was issued and officers arrested the two homeowners and two guests.
The subsequent search resulted in the seizure of roughly $10,000 in cocaine and a variety of pharmaceuticals. Police also seized more than $8,000 in cash as proceeds of drug sales.
A 58-year-old female resident is charged with two counts of trafficking, four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
A 48-year-old male resident is charged with two counts of trafficking, four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
A 44-year-old International Falls male, found in the residence, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance while a 41-year-old Fort Frances female, found in the residence, is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance.
The four will appear in court here Feb. 25.
